Application Deadlines:
Application priority dates are March 15 for summer, April 15 for fall, and November 15 for spring.
Applications received by the priority date will receive primary consideration for the upcoming
academic year.
Those received after the priority date will receive consideration only as funds are available. The
2020-2021
FAFSA is valid for summer 2020, fall 2020 and spring 2021. Students must apply annually for financial
aid.

If you are applying for financial aid for a summer term, please fill out the Summer NRCC Financial Aid Form
Students interested in a Direct Stafford Student loan will need to fill out the NRCC Loan Request form online.
First time borrowers of a Direct Stafford Loan are required to complete a Master Promissory Note (MPN) – complete online at www.studentloans.gov (expires after 10 years)
First time borrowers of a Direct Stafford Loan are required to complete an entrance counseling form – complete online at www.studentloans.gov.
You can also view your “To-Do List,” “Pending Financial Aid” and “Outstanding Charges.” After your award has been made, your student account will be electronically credited with financial aid/loan funds. Typically this is 4 to 6 weeks after the last date to drop and receive a refund.
Any remaining balance will be sent to you from Tuition Management Systems (TMS) via the method of your choice. Visit https://nr.afford.com/ for more information or call our Business Office at 540-674-3605. Please make sure your current address is correct on the Student Information System. You may update your address online in the Student Information System (SIS), or in person at NRCC’s Admissions Office.
