TEAS Testing Information

NRCC currently requires ATI TEAS Version 7 for Associate Degree Nursing (ADN) and Certificate of Practical Nursing (PN) admission.

NRCC students interested in applying for admission to the ADN or PN program must take the ATI TEAS 7 test prior to the application deadline. Testing is available specifically for NRCC students at NRCC's testing center throughout the year. Testing is by appointment only.

Scheduling Your TEAS test:

Please call the Testing Center at (540) 674-3600, extension 4341, to schedule an appointment for your test date and time.
Plan ahead. Testing availability near the admissions deadline may be limited due a high volume of testing appointments.
Make sure when you schedule your test time that you will be available for it. Rescheduling may not be possible.
If the college is closed due to inclement weather on the day you are scheduled to test, your test will be rescheduled. You will be responsible for calling the Testing Center to schedule a new time.
The cost of the TEAS test is approximately $70 and must be paid with a major credit/debit card at the time you take the test.
You can retest to earn a higher TEAS score; however, it is strongly recommended that you complete TEAS preparation before scheduling a repeat test. Information about preparation can be found below.

Preparing for the TEAS Test:

The test is given online through ATI Testing.
Study guides are available on the ATI website or in the NRCC bookstore.
NRCC Workforce Development offers TEAS Prep tutorials. Learn more about these at Test of Essential Academic Skills (TEAS) and call 540-674-3600, ext. 3613 if you are interested in the tutorial.
