NRCC's Office of Institutional Effectiveness and Research provides information and analytical support for use in the college's planning process and for use in management decision-making. The Office conducts studies and maintains information on topics such as enrollment, characteristics of professional staff, productivity, degrees awarded, grades, retention and other areas of interest. The office is also responsible for compiling and filing reports required by government agencies.
New River Community College (NRCC) supports the conduct of research that benefits teaching and learning at the college, operations at the college, and improves our understanding of student behavior. However, at all times, the confidentiality and protection of NRCC, its students, and staff are primary. All research involving NRCC, its environs, students, and staff requires NRCC approval. All proposed research must lead to worthwhile educational benefits for NRCC, its students and/or its personnel and must be compatible with NRCC’s mission and goals.
The full details on the requirements and procedures for requests to conduct research at NRCC can be found at the following link: NRCC Research Request Procedures
