NRCC nursing students receive degrees and pins in annual ADN graduation ceremony

Forty-seven students in the 2022 associate degree nursing (ADN) class at New River Community College received their NRCC nursing pins and associate degrees at a ceremony at the college in Dublin, Va. on May 11 at 6 p.m.

This is the 19^th graduating class of associate degree nurses at NRCC. The graduates are now eligible to take the registered nurse licensing exam.

Dr. Lorrie Coe-Meade, coordinator of nursing programs at NRCC, presided at the event. Nursing student Justine Farlow presented remarks on behalf of the 2022 nursing class.  

Other nursing faculty participating in the ceremony included Wendy Hay, Michelle Keister, Debra Massaro, Caitlin Reed, Jessica Windle, and Helen Wolfe.

Ending the program, Dr. Graham Mitchell, professor of psychology and religion, led a “Blessing of the Hands” ceremony with nursing faculty and students to bring “healing and wholeness” to the nurse’s touch.
