Applications are available upon request and are processed by the Veteran Services Office at NRCC

If you were enlisted and were unable to complete the enlistment, you will need to apply and the VA will make the ruling. You may call the local VA regional office at 1-800-827-1000.

Dependents & Survivors Chapter 35

To qualify for educational assistance you must be either:
1) The son, daughter, or spouse of a veteran who is permanently and totally disabled or deceased as the result of a service-connected disability. MIA and POW eligibility will be given upon request.
2) a. Son or daughter 18-26 years of age who is married. Marriage IS NOT a bar to educational benefits.
    b. Spouse- 10 year period after the veteran's death or 10 years after the VA's determination.

Entitlements:
a. 45 months of full-time benefits.
b. If eligible for more than one educational program, you can receive a maximum of 48 months of benefits.

Vocational Rehabilitation Chapter 31

You are eligible if you meet these two conditions:
1) Service-connected disability for which you are and can receive VA compensation.
2) VA determines you need vocational training to overcome an employment handicap or improve your
capacity for employment.
