Goals and Objectives
Ambassadors foster a desire among NRCC students, alumni, and the greater community to support the college and to stimulate interest and concern for its well being. We strive to promote a positive image of the college to current and prospective students and to the communities served by the college. We also promote the purpose, benefits, and activities of the Ambassadors to currently enrolled students.
What do Ambassadors do?
- Identify specific needs of students as they prepare for graduation and develop programs which will assist them in making the transition from students to alumni.
- Show students ways in which they can support the college following graduation.
- Assist in communicating alumni goals, purposes, and programs to the college and serve as a liaison between the college and alumni.
- Develop public relations skills and gain experience in public speaking.
- Meet with business and professional leaders in the community.
- Assist faculty and staff with graduation and other events.
- Assist businesses and students with the NRV Job Fair Expo.
- Derive satisfaction from working with a group of creative, intelligent, highly motivated students.
